TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A Tuscaloosa County School employee has been arrested for alleged sex crimes.

Anessa Dawn Olive Ferguson, 37, was arrested by Sheriff's Deputies on Wednesday, July 3, after a grand jury returned an indictment.

She's charged with incest, rape second degree, sodomy second degree and sexual abuse first degree.

Investigators say the victim does not go to school where Ferguson works and no sexual assaults happened on school property.

A statement from the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office says their investigation started after the victim came forward with other family members.

Last week, FOX6 News could not confirm what Ferguson's job is with the school system.

Court documents show Ferguson, who lives in Tuscaloosa County, is out on $25,000 bond and has an arraignment scheduled for Sept. 6 in Tuscaloosa.
