Birmingham city leaders will make another attempt to pass its past-due budget on Monday. The city council and Mayor William Bell plan to sit down today to try to iron out their differences.
The mayor wants about $3-million more added to a program for mowing vacant lots while the council wants to spend some of that money on other projects.
The budget was due a week ago.
