The neighbor who helped the three captive Ohio women escape is talking about the newly-released video of the women speaking out. Charles Ramsey says the women's families told him they were going to release it at midnight.
FOX6 News Reporter Clare Huddleston spoke with Charles Ramsey on the phone this morning. He says he is still shaken up about the whole ordeal feels guilty for not knowing what was happening inside the home next to him.
Ramsey wants to turn this tragedy into something positive; he's now a motivational speaker.
Ramsey says he has been in contact with the girls and their families. He said when he talks to them he tries to be supportive and encouraging.
"…and I've been talking to Michelle the most - not Amanda. She's still trying to heal from the whole situation, I mean, she was the first one gone. So, you know 10 years is a long time - from a child to a woman - and you don't know nothing."
Ramsey is in Washington D.C. for a speaking engagement Tuesday night. He says Michelle Knight's mother has invited him over for dinner when he gets back to Cleveland.
