Regions Bank customers experienced intermittent problems accessing their accounts Friday, after a ‘Distributed Denial of Service' attack crippled servers.
Mel Campbel, spokesperson for the bank, said Friday that access to Regions' websites and online banking were disrupted throughout the day due to the ‘DDoS' attack. Some customers may also have been unable to use their check cards at ATMs or merchants.
Campbel said the bank apologized for the difficulties and that they were working to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.
