A Monday night Hoover City School Board meeting was at full capacity as parents continue to pressure the board to reverse its decision to cut bus services.
The bus cuts were not on the agenda but the board set aside about an hour for parents to voice their concerns. Parents asked the board to reverse or at least table the decision until more research could be done. No action was taken by the board.
Trisha Crain, who has regularly attended board meeting for the past 10 years, stood up and told the board that she felt oppressed, that she couldn't freely express her opinion, and that this is not the school board she knows.
"And you're dragging it out and you're dragging it out and I know why because you know the longer this decision takes to get reversed the more bus drivers will leave, and the more families will move out of Hoover. I'm offended very personally that you and this leadership have done this to my community," Crain said.
FOX6 News spoke to the board president on the possibility the decision could be reversed. Tune in at FOX6 News at 10 to hear her answer.
