JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A Jackson County highway remains partially crippled after a gas line explosion.

Highway 79 Southbound between Scottsboro and Guntersville is still down to one lane as of Monday. Utility crews continue to repair the gas line that caught fire Friday.

Once the crews complete their work, the Alabama Department of Transportation will come in to repair pavement that burned in the fire.
