Anniston Police say they plan to file charges against a 17-year-old after two people were wounded in a shooting at a convenience store last week.
Sgt. Chris Sparks said the two victims both indicated they did not know the gunman.
A 20-year-old Oxford woman was grazed in the arm and a 27-year-old Gadsden man was wounded in the chest after what police described as a "dispute." It happened in the parking lot of the Quintard Quick Mart, a Shell convenience store located at the intersection of 18th Street and Quintard Avenue. Neither victim suffered life-threatening injuries.
At the time of the shooting, police said the gunman and male victim were in the parking lot while the female was inside the store. The female victim was also injured by some glass from a shattered front door.
Sparks says the 17-year-old will likely be charged with attempted murder and shooting into an occupied building. The suspect's name has not been released, pending charges.
