They discuss how in two years Birmingham could have two vacant hospitals just six miles apart - and they both have uncertain futures for redevelopment; UAB debuts a new lab space designated for new recruits, the latest clinical imaging equipment, administrative offices and the facility's flagship tool, a 61,000-pound cyclotron, among other areas; and Wells Fargo & Co. announced Wednesday that it will terminate 365 employee positions in the Birmingham area due to the dwindling demand for mortgage refinancing. JEH JEH LIVE - Birmingham Restaurant Week 2013 is up and running right now. It runs through Sunday. This year's event includes more than 40 restaurant. BRW celebrates the city's acclaimed culinary culture by offering incentives for Birmingham-area residents to revisit their favorite restaurants and bars or to experience recently opened venues for the first time. The restaurants offer special two and/or three-course prix-fixe lunch and/or dinner menus in the $5, $10, $15, $20 and $30 per person range during the 10-day event. Several menus also include a healthy kid's menu component, brunch offerings and drink specials. BARGAIN MOM - Birmingham's Bargain Mom Christie Dedman joined us with a look at some great deals! Free Walmart Layaway starts September 13th for holiday shopping season. Walmart announced it will change its layaway program for the 2013 holiday shopping season making it fee free.  Customers will still be required to put $10 or 10 percent down. The layaway applies to the following departments: Electronics, Auto Electronics, Toys, Infant Toys, Select Sporting Goods, Small Appliances, & Jewelry.  Walmart will also honor ad match for items in layaway. Chipotle Mexican restaurant has a special offer scheduled for students on Aug. 28 from 6-10 p.m. Stop by any Alabama location with a student ID to receive a buy-one, get-one card good for a burrito, burrito bowl, salad or tacos with any purchase at any area Chipotle location. Aldi Fultondale has it's Grand Opening on September 4th. The new store is located at 1601 Morris Avenue in Fultondale. To celebrate the new Fultondale store, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, to which the public is invited to attend, sample ALDI exclusive brand products, tour the store and shop.  Plus there will be on site gift certificate door prizes. Usually grand opening events feature lots of free full-size product samples, totes and more. It varies by location and district.  

COMEDIAN - Comedian Tim Statum entertains audiences wherever he goes. Tim is a Birmingham native who will keep you in stitches with his southern style humor and storytelling. SIDEWALK FILM FESTIVAL - The Sidewalk Film Festival is this weekend around downtown Birmingham! Films will be screened at the Alabama Theatre, Family Festival at Rushton Theatre, Alabama School of Fine Arts, Red Mountain Theatre Company, First Methodist Church, and Carver Theatre. All of Sidewalk's screening venues and hot spots are within walking distance from each other. This is the 15th Annual Sidewalk Film Festival. One special feature this year is the screening of the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre."  A true independent, Director Tobe Hooper produced The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for less than $300,000 with a cast of unknown actors and shot the film in central Texas nearly 40 years ago. This film is screening with the short film Halloween: Harvest of Souls Trailer.  This short is a trailer for a lost installment in the Halloween movie franchise.  It begins at 9pm tomorrow night at the Alabama Theatre.
