Alabama State Troopers report three fatalities have occurred on Alabama highways this weekend:
A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Ohatchee man.
Troopers say on August 24th at 1:40 a.m. on Mudd Street eight miles south of Ohatchee, 24-year-old Brian McBride was killed when the vehicle he was driving travelled off the wet roadway and struck a tree.
A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Greensboro man.
Officials say around 11:45 p.m. on Perry County 23, 10 miles north of Marion, 29-year-old Brandon Sims was killed when the 1995 Ford Taurus that he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Troopers say Sim's seat belt was not in use at the time of the crash.
A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of an Andalusia man.
Alabama State troopers say on August 25th around 2:00 a.m., 23-year-old Cameron Smith was killed when the 1997 Jeep Wrangler he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
The crash was on Andalusia County 32 five miles south of Andalusia.
Officials say Smith was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
No other information has been given as state troopers continue to investigate these crashes.
