Limestone County car stop yields drugs, paraphernalia

ATHENS, AL (WAFF) -

Limestone County narcotics investigators arrested two people Wednesday after allegedly finding meth and drug paraphernalia in a car.

According to a news release, the officers stopped a vehicle occupied by two adults and juveniles. During a search, they found a small amount of meth, syringes and other paraphernalia.

Christopher Lee Smith and Laura Renee Clemons were charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The youths were released to a relative.
