After two public hearings, the Hoover City school board has approved a budget that includes a $17 million deficit.
Parents and city council members are concerned but Supt. Dr. Andy Craig feels he can get the district out of this hole in the next two to three years. He says in order to do that, there will have to be cuts.
The school board has already eliminated most bus services beginning in 2014 and Tuesday night, there was talk about proposing a one-cent sales tax that could bring in $20 million a year.
Many parents left frustrated again, not wanting the budget to be passed.
