Final arguments were held Friday in the trial of south Alabama gaming center Center Stage. Both the State of Alabama and the Houston County Economic Development Association have filed their post-trial briefs.
The judge overseeing the case requested the briefs instead of closing arguments.
In the case, the State of Alabama is arguing that the hundreds of electronic bingo machines seized from Center Stage in July 2012 are actually illegal slot machines.

The HCED, which operated the machines, claims the machines were developed to comply with Alabama laws regulating bingo and that they were illegally seized.
It's not clear when the judge will make a final ruling.
