Angela's Southern Apple Pie

· 4-5 Large Granny Smith Apples (peeled & sliced)
· 1 oz of lemon juice
· 1 oz of water
· 1# of sugar
· 3oz of corn starch
· T of salt
· t of cinnamon
· ½ of nutmeg
· 2 oz of butter

Combine lemon juice and water to cut apples for less oxidation. Mix all dry ingredients together, then add apples. Toss together to look like wet sand. Place butter in skillet, then add apple mixture. Cook on med. Heat till bubbling and thickness starts. Add to pie shell, then cook for 30-45 min. at 350. Sliced cheddar cheese on top optional. Enjoy!!
