Tuscaloosa man, 21, charged with rape of 15-year-old

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa authorities have charged a 21-year-old man with second degree rape of a teenage girl.

Cody Allen Jenkins was indicted by a grand jury and booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail Friday, Oct. 4.

Stg. Michael Chaisson with the Tuscaloosa Police Department said the alleged incident happened in June in a Tuscaloosa-area motel. Police say the girl Jenkins allegedly had sex with is 15 years old.

The Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's website shows that Jenkins faces one count of second degree rape and one count of second degree sodomy. His bond is $50,000.

As of Monday morning, Jenkins was still in jail.
