SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

If you're on Broughton Street and see a large pirate ship, you're not imagining things.

The ship is just part of the filming for the "Spongebob Squarepants 2" in Savannah's historic district.

During the filming, Broughton Street merchants will have vouchers to give to customers that allow two free hours of parking in the Whitaker Street, State Sstreet and Robbie Robinson garages, all within one block of Broughton.

Crews are making way for a huge pirate ship to park outside the Trustees Theater.

Broughton Street will play host to movie crews for about two weeks and that means there will be several road closures you need to know about in the downtown area.

Here's the street closure schedule during filming in Savannah:

• All streets except Drayton Street will be open each evening at 8 p.m. and available for parking until 5 a.m. the next day.

• All sidewalks except for a few exceptions during certain filming days are open.

• There may be times when you are asked to cross the street or wait for a few minutes for the filming to take place. Uniformed police officers will be with us at all times to ensure our safety as well as yours.

• All parking garages are to remain open and accessible.
