JEH JEH LIVE- Jeh Jeh was live from Hayden at the Great Pumpkin Patch. If you are longing for a few hours of outdoor activities and fun for the whole family the great pumpkin patch is the place to go. Ride in one of their hay filled covered wagons out to the pumpkin patch where help will be provided (if needed) in choosing and/or picking your own pumpkin to take home. While at the patch, there will be several different types of farm animals for you to see. All of the kids will enjoy their new Hay Pyramid!!! At the patch and at several different locations on the farm are nice cozy picnic areas, complete with picnic tables to accommodate large groups. You can bring your picnic lunches, or buy your lunch right from the Pumpkin Patch Kitchen. At the front entrance, refreshments, various sizes of additional pumpkins, and all types of fall decorative items and crafts will be sold in either the "Big Red Barn" or the "Old Country Store." It is open this fall until October 31 - Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm, Friday and Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday 1:00pm to 6:00pm. It is located about 30 miles north of Birmingham (near Hayden, Alabama). Get off I-65 at the Hayden/Corner exit (exit 284). Then travel 10 3/4 miles east on Highway 160. Turn left on County Hwy 45. FALL BEER-October means pumpkins and Octoberfest...and lots of new seasonal beers! Matt Kilpatrick of Birmingham Beverage joined us this morning with pointers. Matt Kilpatrick of Birmingham Beverage discussed fall beers Stout beers and how they are made. He showed us the ingredients and some beers from Northcoast Brewing Company, Founders and Left Hand.
DR.F- Do you tend to harp on issues with your loved ones or friends and then in turn someone says stop nagging me? Well whether you consider it nagging or not there are ways to stop it. Dr. Wayne Fleisig, a psychologist with Children's Hospital joined us with some advice on nagging less.

2 - Avoid situations that you can
3 - Work on increasing desired behaviors
4 - Use good behavior management
5 - Work on improving your relationship with your child

BREAST CANCER EVENT-Party, Prevent, Prevail. It's your chance to dance, get some exercise and help fight breast cancer. Zumba instructor, Yahaira Rodriguez representing Ridge Crossing Apartments in Hoover joined us this morning. They will be holding a free "dance for the cure fundraising event" tomorrow. Dance for the cure is tomorrow from 7pm-9pm at Ridge Crossings Apartments, 100 tree crossing pkwy. A 10 dollar donation is suggested.
