Gadsden Police seek information in 1998 cold case

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) -

Gadsden Police are taking a closer look at a cold case from 1998.

They hope someone might be able to tell them the name of a young man whose body was found by a fisherman.

The man's body was found in the Coosa River near the Dub Parker Boat Docks May 28, 1998. Police say the many had been dead for several months to a year before he was found. Forensic experts determined he was between 17 and 21 years old, stood between 5' 6" and 5' 9" tall.

Friday, Gadsden Police released an artist's rendering of what the victim may have looked like. Police add that no clothes or jewelry were found with the body and four of the victim's teeth had been fractured prior to his death.
