There is help on the way for George Washington Carver Memorial Gardens.

The cemetery closed unexpectedly last month, and recently filed for bankruptcy.

Today, The Foundry, a rescue mission and recovery center based in Bessemer, says it will help cut the grass and clean up the cemetery.

The Foundry says its volunteers should have the grass cut before the end of the month. Others, including those with family buried at the cemetery, have already been out to care for the grounds.

The cemetery will have a solution in place for its problems.
