Tuscaloosa schools win $190K grant to fund pre-K programs

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

A new grant is helping pre-K programs in Tuscaloosa City Schools.

The money will be split between Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, which will receive $100,000, and Skyland Elementary School, which will receive $90,000.

The funds will pay for furniture, classroom materials and instructors in each pre-K class. It will allow Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School to offer 3 classes during the current school year.
