BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

An aide to Birmingham Mayor William Bell has entered a 'not guilty' plea during an arraignment on Thursday morning.

Kenneth Crittenden is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case. He was arrested last Tuesday and charged with helping a cocaine and heroin drug ring launder money through buying cars titled to his private business "E-Z Autos."

Crittenden works as an administrative assistant to Bell, dealing mainly with the Birmingham Crossplex.
