WASHINGTON, DC (CNN) -Just hours after praising lawmakers for reaching a deal to end the government shutdown, President Barack Obama gave a stern address to Congress.
This time, calling for the end of business as usual.
"But, to all my friends in Congress, understand that how business is done in this town has to change because we all got a lot of work to do on behalf of the American people and that includes the hard work of regaining their trust."
Obama signed a bipartisan deal approved by congress Wednesday night - ending the partial government shutdown and avoiding a potential default.
The short-term measure will finance the government through mid-January and raise the debt ceiling through early February.
