TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

West Alabama narcotics agents arrested three suspects and seized 130 grams of heroin in a drug bust Wednesday night.

Tuscaloosa Police say the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force arrested three men in their 30s on drug charges after a month-long investigation.

They also recovered 130 grams of heroin with a street value of more than $52,000, Xanax tablets an more than $4,000 in cash.

"As heroin use is on the rise, narcotics agents are doing everything they can to keep it from coming into Tuscaloosa," Tuscaloosa PD said in a release.

The police department said the following suspects were arrested and charged:

-Katiah Mateen Griffin, 33 years old, of Birmingham was charged with one count of trafficking in heroin. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $1 million bond.

-Tramain Cortez Mcswain, 33 years old, of Birmingham was charged with one count of trafficking in heroin. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $25,000 bond.

-Martez Williams, 30 years old, of Birmingham was charged with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $15,000 bond.
