On Monday, Jefferson County Commissioners David Carrington and Jimmie Stephens will head to New York.
The purpose of the trip is to continue talks with Jefferson County creditors. The county commission voted Thursday to back out of its bankruptcy exit plan if creditors do not come up with $350-million in concessions by November 4th.
Carrington and Stephens say they plan to stay in New York as long as the banks are willing to continue negotiating.
