BESSEMER, AL (WBRC) -

Bessemer police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected of stealing a car from a body shop earlier this month.

The police department originally shared a photo of the suspect on their Facebook page on October 17 and re-shared it on their page Oct. 22. The surveillance image shows a time stamp of October 9.

Police say the suspect trespassed into the Town and Country Body Shop and stole a silver 2007 Lincoln town car. According to authorities, the suspect would have the keys to the car.

Anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to call Sergeant Perry Hurst or Detective James Brown at 205-425-2411.
