JACKSONVILLE, AL (WBRC) -

Jacksonville State University is reducing its budget because of declining enrollment.

Trustees approved $650,000 thousand dollars in cuts on Monday

The budget cuts will be made up by reducing employee travel and spending less on maintenance in supplies.

The university is also cutting hours for part-time employees and delaying hiring for job vacancies.
