OXFORD, AL (WBRC) -

A reward is being offered for 18 handguns stolen from a business in east Alabama. The burglary happened Wednesday night at Oxford Lumber on Barry Street.

Police say the crook broke into the store through a rear door. The store owner says he thinks the thief used something in the store to bust open the case holding all of the guns.

Oxford Lumber has been a licensed firearm dealer for a year. The owner says this is the first time they have ever had any guns stolen.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives in offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect(s).

Anyone with information about the stolen guns should call the ATF at 1-800-ATF-GUNS (800-283-4867).
