MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard has hired Homewood attorney Jim Entrekin Jr. as his office legal counsel.
The Republican speaker announced the hiring Monday. Entrekin replaces Jason Isbell, who left to work for the Alabama Bankers Association. A spokeswoman for Hubbard said Entrekin's position pays $85,000 annually.
Entrekin graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law and has operated his own law and campaign consulting practice for the last six year. Prior to that he served as a law clerk for state Civil Appeals Court Judge Terri Thomas and worked in Gov. Bob Riley's policy department.
