JEH JEH LIVE- The University of Alabama at Birmingham will celebrate Homecoming 2013 with a week of spirited events, culminating at noon Saturday, Nov. 2, with the UAB Blazers vs. Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders football game at Legion Field. Homecoming Week 2013, themed "Unleash the Dragon," began with Paint the Town on Sunday, Oct. 27, when students painted community and campus windows with messages. On game day, Blazer Village will open at 9 a.m., with shuttles running from Blazer and Camp halls to Legion Field free for all UAB students and fans. The winners of the Mr. and Ms. UAB scholarship competition, sponsored by the UAB National Alumni Society, will be announced during halftime.

GAVIN MACLEOD- Gavin MacLeod was already a TV favorite as 'Murry Slaughter' on the Mary Tyler Moore Show when he took on the role of The Love Boat's Captain Stubing and sealed his fate in television history. MacLoed just wrote a new autobiography about the highs and lows in his life entitled, This is Your Captain Speaking: My Fantastic Voyage Through Hollywood, Faith & Life. And the TV captain continues to serve as an Ambassador for Princess Cruises.

MOSS ROCK DAY 2- The 8th annual eco-creative festival - the Moss Rock Festival - is this weekend at The Preserve in Hoover. You can explore Nature, Eco-Ideas, Art + Design at The Preserve in Hoover. There will be live music, food trucks, an eco district, a cake expo. craft beer tasting, hikes, and smartliving and gluten free features. And there will, of course, be many exhibiting artists with plenty of work to show off and sell! There will be 100 artists inspired by nature, working with natural materials, and utlizing recycling/repurposing of materials and found objects in their work. There is also an educational outreach program called Planet Projects - a school project for creative recycling. For more festival programming details, visit MossRockFestival.com. Today we looked at lots of outdoor hikes and activities at the Preserve. You can go on a guided hike at this weekend's festival. On both Saturday and Sunday at 11am there will be a one hour hike with an introduction to the Moss Rock Preserve and at 1pm there will be a two mile Moss Rock Backcountry Tour.
