JEH JEH LIVE- It's Football Friday and that means High School Football teams across the state go head to head on the field tonight! PUMPKIN CHUNKIN'- Avondale Brewing Company (ABC) will host the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Chunkin, presented by SGI Solutions, next Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013.  Mike and Mickey went down there to preview the event. Doors will open at 11 am.  Admission is $10 at the door.  Pumpkins to chunk can be purchased for an additional fee, and prizes will be awarded to the winners of the chunkin contest.  There will be a new and improved pumpkin chunkin obstacle course this year and along with a bigger and better pumpkin slingshot! There will be live music, a raffle, a pop up boutique hosted by Laura Kathryn, food trucks and Avondale Brewing Co. beverages, including the release of the much-awaited Pumpkin Ale.  A percentage of ticket and beverage sales will benefit Alabama Forever. Avondale Brewing Company is located at 201 41st Street South. Alabama Forever is an organization created in response to the April 27, 2011 tornadoes. The organization has expanded to work closely with any Alabama community in need of volunteer assistance.

PEANUT FESTIVAL- Peanut lovers from all over the nation are in South Alabama right now. Today marks the beginning of the 70th annual "National Peanut Festival." Raycom Media Reported Hannah Lane was live in Dothan this morning to talk about the festival.
 PEDRO MOORE- Pedro Moore is a gospel saxophonist. He performed his original music in the studio today. Pedro will be performing on November 8th for the Mission Hugs annual fundraiser at Boutwell Auditorium.

REV BHAM- It's the finale to a month-long project to revive interest in parts of Birmingham. Revive Project Manager Laura Kate Whitney joined us to discuss the plans for the weekend! SOULDOWN happens as part of REVIVE Woodlawn this week on Sunday, November 3rd, 2PM -5PM on 55th Place South.  The SOULDOWN block party will feature soul food, soul music in the heart of Woodlawn, with live entertainment from locally and nationally renowned Audio State 55 and Communicating Vessels artists, including Denita Gibbs, Shaheed and DJ Supreme, and more. Local businesses and pop-up shops will be open for the event, with a special appearance by Creative Mindz Dance Troupe. Soul food will be provided for sale by Bayles Catering, Spoonfed, Fresh Off the Bun and other local vendors. REV launched the REVIVE Wooldawn week by unveiling a permanent mural on the corner of 55th Place South. The mural was painted by The Magic City Mural Collective. REVIVE: The Street Life Project is a month-long, collaborative initiative to activate empty storefronts, generate foot traffic and organize street-level improvements to restore interest in five target commercial districts in Birmingham. The campaign launched September 30th, and is demonstrating revitalization strategies like pop-up shops, streetscape improvements and placemaking efforts that showcase what Birmingham's urban commercial districts can be. REVIVE 2013 focused on five urban villages: 3rd Ave. North from 19th to 20th Street, East Lake, Ensley, Five Points South and Woodlawn.
