The Montgomery Public School district has been slapped with a harassment lawsuit.
Former Assistant Superintendent Cossaundria Edwards claims she was sexually harassed by her former co-worker Lewis Washington.
Former Superintendent Barbara Thompson, interim Superintendent Margaret Allen and all current MPS board members are named in the suit.
Edwards' attorney says his client reported the harassment, but supervisors did nothing to stop it.
"She tried to get him to stop. She reported it to board officials, but they did nothing until after she resigned because she simply couldn't take it anymore," James Long said.
Washington resigned after the board voted to terminate him.
Thompson recommended to terminate Washington citing the sexual harassment allegations.
A school system spokesperson declined to comment on the lawsuit.
