Dr. Jocelyn Rogers, Chairperson of the South GA. Tech Board of Directors, was elected as a member of the Georgia Technical College Directors Association (TCDA) Board Executive Committee at the TCDA and the Technical College Foundation Association's (TCFA) joint annual conference in Savannah recently.
Dr. Rogers, an Obstetrician/Gynecologist and Medical Director of Women's Services at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, has been on the South Georgia Technical College Board of Directors since September 2011. She is currently serving as the chair of that local board and will now be serving on the state board filling a member at-large position in addition to her local board duties.
Earlier this year, Dr. Rogers was selected to the Georgia Trend magazine's prestigious "2013 Forty Under Forty" list. She is a 1997 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned her B.S. in Biology and pre-med. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and then attended Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana for her Residence in the Department of obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Rogers is originally from Warner Robins and is the daughter of Doretha Rogers and Johnny Rogers of Warner Robins.
