The cold temperatures are sticking around the western Carolinas and northeast Georgia on Thursday morning.
"We'll start off in the teens and 20s. Expect another day of bundling up," said FOX Carolina Meteorologist Nicole Papay.
Papay said high pressure remains in place, which will allow for a great deal of sunshine, as well as temperatures warming into the mid-to-upper 50s by mid-afternoon Thursday.
While the area should remain dry and partly cloudy for most of the day Friday, clouds will increase and southerly flow will bring scattered rain showers to the entire area late in the afternoon Friday and through the remainder of the weekend, according to Papay.
Papay said the better news with the southerly flow is temperatures will rise back where they should be for this time of year, in the 60s, by late-weekend.
