TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

A landmark for lunch in Tuscaloosa is going out of business.

15th Street Diner announced it will be closing on December 15 because it's losing the lease. Developers are turning the shopping center into a retail and residential development.

News of the diner's closing has left a lot of customers disappointed.

"Oh it's so sad cause there's nowhere else in town you can come to and get this quality of food and have the environment," longtime customer Hannah Guess said.

Customers say they're expecting longer lines at the diner...as people try to squeeze in another lunch before it closes.
