Skylar Williams-Byrant is a little kid with a big heart.
"If you help somebody it just makes you really good," said Skylar.
At just 8-years-old he came up with an idea to help the less fortunate and it all started with backpacks.
"My mom started to throw away the backpacks and I said I just want to keep it and give it to some homeless people," he said.
He said the idea just blew up in his mind. Skylar has eight backpacks that he wants to fill by Christmas and he already has an idea of what to put inside.
"Food, clothes, deodorant and toothbrushes and stuff," said Skylar.
His grandmother said she couldn't be more proud of her grandson. Since he brought up his plan to help others she has been ready to help.
She plans on asking local dentists if they can donate toothpaste along with grocery stores for their donations.
Skylar doesn't have an exact location of where to give the backpacks away but that's not stopping him from filling them up.
If you would like to donate you can contact Skylar's mom, Tamille Williams, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
