The Bright Star's pecan pie recipe

(Makes 2 pies)

 

Ingredients:

-6 eggs

-2 cups sugar

-2 cups light corn syrup

-2/3 tbl vanilla extract

-1/4 cup melted and cooled butter

-3 cups chopped pecans

-1 cup pecan halves

-2 pie shells (unbaked)

 

Method:

-Pre-heat oven to 350.

-Break eggs in a mixing bowl, and whisk lightly.

-Add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and butter.

-Mix together with a wooden spoon and add chopped pecans.

-Pour filling into unbaked pie crust, and top with halved pecans, and bake for approximately 50 minutes.
