TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

The City of Tuscaloosa has announced the Holiday on the River ice rink and slide will be closed Monday through Wednesday due to the rainy, possibly icy weather expected in Alabama early this week.

The ice rink will reopen on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, at 4 p.m. It will remain open throughout November and December until Jan. 5, 2014. The skating rink is at the Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum on Jack Warner Parkway.

Tickets to skate cost $12 for kids 2-12 and $15 for adults. The ice slide tickets are $10 per person. There's also an all-inclusive package for access to the ice rink, ice slide and museum for $20.

Tickets for the ice rink can be bought at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
