Here is what you saw on Good Day Alabama for November 27, 2013:

TECH LIVES - This fall, social media expert Randi Zuckerberg publishes DOT., a unique picture book about finding the balance between "plugging in" and recharging with "unplugged" forms of play. Randi Zuckerberg is the CEO and founder of Zuckerberg Media, a media and production company, and editor-in-chief of Dot Complicated, a modern lifestyle online community. Previously, Randi served as a marketing executive at Facebook for six years, where she pioneered live streaming initiatives and struck groundbreaking deals with ABC for the first online-offline presidential debates and with CNN to cover Barack Obama's inauguration.  In 2011, Randi was nominated for an Emmy Award and was also ranked among the "50 Digital Power Players" by the Hollywood Reporter and as one of the "New Leaders" by Variety. In today's device-driven world, DOT. addresses the overwhelming need for a balanced relationship with technology. A recent study by AVG found today's children are quicker to master tech-related skills than practical life skills, finding 58 % of children ages 2-5 can play a computer game, while only 43% of children that age are able to ride a bicycle. As a mom, Randi knows first-hand how technology has changed virtually every part of a child's life.  Inspired by her son, DOT. introduces children to a confident and spunky new character who's appetite for technology is seemingly unlimited, until one day, Dot sets off on an interactive adventure with the world around her.  With Dot's tech-savvy expertise, mingled with her resourceful imagination, Dot soon learns that the world around her is just as fun.
