Riders with ABATE of Georgia and the Savannah Wingmen Motorcycle Club descended on Kmart to hand pick toys and other gifts for children in need.
This past weekend, they raised nearly $6,000 with the Savannah toy run.
Now they are teaming up with the Dept. of Family and Child Services for nine counties around Savannah to buy Christmas gifts for children that wouldn't have a Christmas otherwise.
"It's absolutely priceless," said Pat Harden with the Savannah Wingmen. "You can't even describe the feeling you get when you see the bags and boxes of toys that you take to these agencies, and even the workers are just amazed at the joy that we can provide for them."
Over 500 people participated in the Savannah Toy Run over the weekend.
The FOX6 Gifts for Kids Angel Tree program is a way for people in Alabama to donate Christmas gifts to foster children and children in need during the holiday season. You can either supply the gifts yourself or you can donate cash to the Salvation Army who will then use that money to buy clothing and toys for children on their Angel Tree list.More >>
