Police have confirmed that suspects arrested at a CVS store in Midfield on Monday are the men believed to have robbed stores recently in Tuscaloosa and Hoover.
The first robberies happened at two CVS pharmacies in Tuscaloosa within the span of about an hour and half on Sunday afternoon. Police say the surveillance footage shows the same two suspects entering both stores. The first robbery occurred around 1:15 p.m. at the CVS in Tuscaloosa's Five Points. The second incident occurred at about 2:40 p.m. at the Highway 69 South location.
On Monday morning in Hoover, two men entered the CVS store at Valleydale Road and Highway 280 and held the employees at gunpoint. There were no injuries.
Officers say the men were targeting pharmacies for their prescription medicines. They have not said if any cash was taken.
Identities of the suspects and the details of their arrest have not yet been released. They are currently being held in the Hoover Jail. Hoover police plan to get warrants on Thursday.
