BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

A week from today the Auburn Tigers will be playing for the BCS Championship and fans are shopping for new gear.

"I'm so past excited, I can't see straight. To get to go to Pasadena to see Auburn play is a dream." Joan Monte, Auburn fan, said.

At Bama Fever Tiger Pride on U.S. 280 Auburn fan Joan Monte is making last minute buys for Tiger merchandise for her trip to the game.

"Hundreds, hundreds of dollars. Obviously we had a whole lot of before this. Getting the SEC we have gotten a whole lot more," Monte said.

Since Auburn beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl Kim Pitt with Bama Fever Tiger Pride says Tiger fans have been dropping a lot of cash.

"Sales have pretty much doubled for Auburn this year. They have gone down for Bama fans but we know they will be back," Pitt said.

But don't tell that to Alabama fan John Seale who is stocking up on even more Crimson Tide goods before the big game with Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl Thursday.

"Florida State is going for the national championship. We are always going to come here and buy Alabama colors. Especially with 15 national championships in the trophy case," Seale said.

Sue Barnett said Alabama fans will continue to back the Tide.

"They better. We got to keep going just because the season is almost up. We got to keep pulling for them. I'm like McCarron. I like those rings. Keep them coming," Barnett said.

So what about some of these Bama fans pulling for the Tigers next week?

"That will be very hard but I like to see them win when we can't," Barnett said.

"No I can not. I will be in full turbin indian outfit. Pulling for the Florida State Seminoles." Seale said.

"I don't care. They should pull for their team and we will pull for our team. That's the way it's always been and it should be. There is not a lot of mutual love here." Monte said.
