(CNN) - Google is preparing to put Android in cars. The tech giant announced it's joined forces with General Motors, Audi, Honda, Hyundai and microchip maker Nvidia to make it happen.
It's called the Open Automotive Alliance.
The goal is to enable people to use Android devices and apps directly with their car for navigation and infotainment.
The news comes a day before the official opening of the international Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, in Las Vegas.
