MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL (WBRC) -

A Mountain Brook road is closed because of the mess caused by a waterline break.

Police say a line broke under Beechwood Road Tuesday evening. That lead to icy condition on the road near Old Leeds Road and at an entrance to the Mountain Brook Country Club.

Mountain Brook police closed the road because the road was compromised by the water, according to their Facebook page.

Mountain Brook police also say Beechwood Rd. will be closed until the leak and damage caused by it are repaired.

FOX6 News left a message with the Birmingham Water Works Board about this leak Tuesday night to get more information.
