Alagasco officials say service is mostly restored to customers who lost service in Gadsden earlier this week.
The company blames an unprecedented demand on a newly installed pipeline. The outage left around 370 customers without heat early Tuesday morning.
Alagasco says workers left notices for the remaining customers to call when someone is at the home or business. Technicians cannot turn the meter back on and re-light the pilot light if someone isn't available.
