Troy University and its students are looking to honor the lives of four students who have died in unrelated incidents during the Christmas break.
The vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. and will be held on the Quad.
The University is facing the loss of three students and a recent graduate. Two died in car accidents and two others were the victims of shootings.
Those to be honored include:
Haijiao Sun was a graduate from China. Sun was killed in a December 21, 2013 vehicle crash near Gainesville, Fla.
Kimberle Johnson was a junior majoring in Social Work. The Montgomery resident was among three people who were gunned down at a Montgomery nightclub on Dec. 28.
Jadarius Garner was a sophomore from Clarksdale, Mississippi who was a member of the Troy Trojans football team. Garner died after being hit by a vehicle in Mississippi.
Kristin Fuller was a freshman majoring in Social Work. The Luverne resident was shot to death on January 1, 2014 in Crenshaw County. A fellow Troy student is accused of causing her death.
