CALHOUN COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

FOX6 News has learned more details about a man killed in a Hobson City shooting.

Johnny Evans reportedly died of a gunshot wound to the head Jan. 8. A female victim was shot twice but survived. Deputies say they aren't looking for a suspect in the case.

Court records reveal that Evans was on parole for the 1996 death of 16-year-old Christopher Jackson. As a convicted felon, Evans would not have been allowed to own a handgun.

Authorities are still investigating the Jan. 8 shooting and say the two victims were apparently boyfriend and girlfriend at one time.
