OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

You're invited to an American Red Cross fundraiser in Owensboro Monday, January 13.

The Red Cross in Western Kentucky has really taken a hit to their disaster relief fund after the large apartment fire that happened a couple of weeks ago in Calhoun.

14 News spoke with a representative at the Red Cross they tell me that was one of the biggest disasters they have ever seen.

So they are inviting the community to come out to the fundraiser to support them in their efforts to help families in natural disaster.

The fundraiser is called "A Chair-ity Affair" with an emphasis on the chair.

They will auction off one of a kind chairs designed by local speed painter Aaron Kizer.

You will also get a chance to see a performance by Aaron Kizer at the event.

There will also be beer and wine tasting.

It starts at 7 p.m. at the Gambrinus Libation Emporium, which is located on West Second Street in Downtown Owensboro.

Tickets are $30 a person and $50 a couple.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the Red Cross in advance.
