TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa police have identified two suspects they say stole a doll from an eight-year-old girl at a Wal-Mart.

Police say it happened around 6:34 p.m. on Dec. 14, 2013 at the Wal-Mart at 1501 East Skyland Blvd. Two suspects, a male and a female, were seen pushing a shopping cart with a car seat inside of it. The female suspect was also sitting inside the shopping cart.

The male suspect allegedly took a doll out of the shopping cart of an eight-year-old girl and her grandmother. The girl and her grandmother had been looking at clothes and stepped away from their cart briefly when the theft occurred, police said.

The doll was over a year old and was not in store packaging. The suspects left the store with the doll, Sgt. Brent Blankley with TPD said.

Sgt. Blankley announced at 12:30 p.m. Monday that they had identified the doll theft suspects. Their names and possible charges have not yet been released.
