FAIRFIELD, AL (WBRC) -

Fairfield city councilman Primus Mack was found guilty this afternoon of enticement of a minor, which is a felony, and a misdemeanor count of sexual abuse.

Mack was acquitted of a harassment charge.

These convictions revolve around incidents involving one of Mack's granddaughters.

Because the child enticement charge is a felony Mack is automatically out of his job as a city councilman and according to prosecutors he must now register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors declined our request for an interview after the verdict today.

Mack has been in jail and will remain there until his sentencing March 8.
