This year's iconic event will celebrate Tank's GRAMMY® nomination with TGT for "Best RnB Album of the Year"
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The third annual "For the Love of R&B" live music event will celebrate R&B trailblazer Tank and his GRAMMY® nomination with TGT in the "Best RnB Album of the Year" category this year. The exclusive, invitation-only event, co-hosted by Celebrity Blogger & Personality Jason Lee, will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd at The Sayers Club, located at 1645 Wilcox Avenue in Hollywood. The event kicks off at 9 p.m. with a red carpet experience hosted by Zena Foster, (Red Carpet 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.) music by DJ B.Hen (VH1's Master of the Mix) and the live show beginning at 11 p.m., featuring special invited guests including Kelly Rowland, Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah, Jordin Sparks, Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson.
Tank, one of the most recognizable names in modern R&B and an icon in the making, carries the torch of masters like Marvin Gaye and Al Green, while redefining R&B for a new decade. The talented singer and his celebrity friends will surprise guests with a compilation of electrifying performances accompanied by a live band.
The star-studded affair has garnered the support and attendance of last year's host Jordin Sparks and performers Kim Burrell, Lil' Mo, Mario and Mateo, as well as special guests Queen Latifah, Eva Marcille, and Kevin McCall, to name a few.
