TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa's Compassion Coalition needs the public's help to aid the homeless during freezing weather.

The charity needs donation of items like soap, deodorant, mittens and knit caps. Donations can be dropped off at the Tuscaloosa County EMA Office, located on McFarland Boulevard next to Bruno's, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Supplies have run low since the charity began placing people in shelters back in November.
